Guidelines and Frequently Asked Questions

How can I upgrade or change my reserved parking space location?
-
If you wish to upgrade to a higher reserved parking level or change your location, a written request is
required — but is not a guarantee that your request will be granted. If your request for an upgrade is
granted and requires additional payment, payment must be received before your credentials will be issued.
Parking space changes are made based on seniority and availability.

When will I receive confirmation of my order?

Notices are mailed in mid-September with your space number, advance ticket sale locations and registered
caterers.

When will I receive my tickets?
-
Tickets are mailed approximately two weeks prior to race day.

How can I purchase additional General Admission and Parking Tickets?
-
General admission and parking tickets may be purchased at one of the
Advance Ticket Sale locations throughout the area,
or through the Far Hills Race office at Somerset Medical Center Foundation (908) 685-2929.
Tickets are on sale at these locations from Saturday, September 26 until Friday, October 16
(General admission: $50, parking $30).
General admission tickets are available online from September 28 until October 12 (Two minimum, $50 each).
General admission tickets are available at the gate on race day for $100, parking $30.

How can I order hay bales?

Hay bales can be purchased by calling (908) 685-2929. Minimum order is 4 bales and each bale costs $15.00.
Size of each hay bale is approximately 3’ long x 2’ high. Bales are NOT available in the
Subscriber area. Hay will be waiting in your reserved parking space when you arrive on race day.

How large is a reserved parking space?

Spaces are 10’ wide by approximately 20’ deep. Please center your vehicle – you have 5’ on either side
of the hanging parking space number. And be courteous of your neighbors!

How many people will comfortably fit in each space?
-
We recommend no more than 15 people plus a vehicle in each space.

What size vehicle will fit in the reserved parking space?
-
Nothing larger than an SUV will be allowed in the reserved parking area. No panel trucks, large passenger
vans or mini-vans are allowed in the space.

Is food served on the grounds?
-
This varies from year to year. We advise you to bring your own picnic.

What are Race Day hours?
-
Gates open at 8:00 AM Post time for the first race is 12:45 PM. All spectators must be off the grounds by
6:00 P.M.

I would like to use my own caterer.
-
Only registered caterers are allowed onsite. If your caterer is interested in being added to the list,
please click here. There is a registration fee involved.

May I bring my pet?

No animals are allowed on the race grounds.

What should I do with my trash?
-
Recycling kits are provided for each space. Please help defray the cost of post-event cleanup by carting out
your trash, or depositing it in one of the several trash receptacles placed throughout the property.

Things that will NOT be tolerated…
-
Loud music and public intoxication.
